the design process

Obviously the design process is slightly different for each different project, as each project has different requirements and / or needs. But here's a diagram of how it usually works...

Step 1 - Submit your brief
Submit a brief using the simple on-line contact form. I'll review it and if necessary ask you for any more information I need before I begin. If you choose to go ahead with the design job, I require a 50% Deposit before I start work paid via PayPal. And once that is paid, I'll get started on your project!

Step 2 - Research and concepts
Based on the information you supplied in your brief in Step 1, I'll research some of your competitors and markets etc, and find out what's hot and what's not. Armed with this knowledge, I'll come back and create a few concepts for you to comment on.

Step 3 - More concepts, and revisions
Based on your comments, I will revise the concepts, or make some more if the previous ones aren't what you're after. Once they're done, you can give me more comments, and I'll revise them again. And again. And again, as many times as it takes until you're completley happy. Once I arrive at a design you like, and I've revised it to perfection, we move on to Step Four...

Step 4 - Deciding if the design is for you
Now that you've got a design that you like, I'll give you a 7-day period for you to change your mind. (If you do change your mind, we'll go back to Step Three and work at it until you're completley happy.) Once that 7-day period is up, you can't get any more free revisions. Now you're just a few tiny steps away from having a fantastic new logo, website design, set of business cards, or whatever else!

Step 5 - Payment time and Job Done!
Once your 7-day period is up, you'll need to send in the other 50% of the payment via PayPal. Once that's recieved, I'll send you all the files via web download, e-mail or CD*. Then the copyright rights are transfered over to you, and that's the job done!

Thankyou for choosing Dusky Dolphin!

*Posting a CD will require an extra one-off payment. Sorry, but we can't be held responsible if your CD gets lost or damaged in the mail. Therefore we reccomend either the web download or e-mail. Thanks!
